The summer in Jerusalem is long and extremely hot during the day. The high contrast makes lighting difficult.
Does one need more reasons to store the camera away for the summer time? I, for sure, don’t!
If I didn’t have commercial work – weddings and photojournalism assignments – from June to November, I would definitely choose to do something else with the long , hot days, but life happens also during the summer…
In order to still feel creative with my camera when it is dry and hot outside, I came up with a simple way to push the limits. And to push myself – as I, and many other artists, have the tendency to wait until the last moment to do things that are not the art itself.
Therefore, I give myself two minutes out on the street to come up with two photos that I will share. I do that every day – even if nothing is really happening.
Here are today’s photos. They were taken with Samsung S3 phone, near the coffee shop that is my office when my studio is too stuffy and messy.
Hope this post made you grab your camera and take some shots on your lunch break.
